Tony and Josette have been key figures in the Las Vegas community for over 25 years. The Las Vegas Rocks Cafe is a collaboration of the talenents and experience both Tony and Josette bring to the Cafe as well know and respected industry professionals.

The café has a creative menu with items named after legendary entertainers. Food selections range from appetizers to complete dinners in an atmosphere filled with a historical perspective on the evolution of Las Vegas.

The main dining room is the café with a stage, long bar, video screens showing vintage footage, and seating for 200. In the ajoining room is the retail shop with Las Vegas Rocks Café logo items and the Marquee Room that seats 100. The Marquee Room is perfect for groups and special shows.

Sacca grew up the son of a butcher in Philadelphia. “When I was a boy, my father was so intrigued with the guys who played accordion. He wanted somebody in the family to play music. So he got my sister to try the accordion. She dropped it. He encouraged my (identical twin) brother and I to pick up an instrument. I picked up the guitar. My brother liked the drums.”

And with that, The Sacca Twins were born. They were 12 years old when they got their first paying job. $25 for a sorority party. An older kid in the neighborhood had heard them practicing and got them the gig. After that, they took any job they could get. “We worked go-go joints, played back ground music, did motorcycle joints – those places scared the hell out of me. We would do anything. At that age, if anybody wants you to work, you say yes to anything.”

Then the brothers took their show on the road. They played the Sheraton, Hilton and Ramada Hotel chain nightclubs and performed on cruise ships before landing a month-long contract a the El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico that developed into a 3-year stay.

It was then that the idea of performing in Las Vegas started bubbling. Siegfried and Roy had come down to see the show. Siegfried said to me, Sacca pauses, adopting his best German impression “You guys are great! Great! You should come to Vegas!”

And so, in 1981 Sacca did. He began working at the original MGM hotel casino, another month long contract that lasted 3 years! “It sounds really easy, but I ’ve got to tell you how difficult it was. I didn ’t have somebody in the business who could call up and say, “Hey, can you book my son at your place?” I did it all on my own. But you can ’t give up .You can’t get discouraged.

Sacca is always looking forward in business and the idea of a television show came to mind. Naysayers were every where – from the critics to potential sponsors. But Sacca was determined to make it happen. For the first six months, Sacca and his brother hosted the show, calling it Live From Las Vegas, but that would soon change as well as every aspect of the program.

Sacca then went solo and called the show Tony Sacca’s Live from Las Vegas. It soon evolved to The Tony Sacca Show, then Celebrity Magazine, and finally Entertainment Las Vegas Style.

Staying afloat meant getting creative. Sacca starting his own advertising agency to sell commercial spots on the show, created his own production company, and now Entertainment Las Vegas Style is in its 25th year syndicated across the U.S.and ratings are high. The show is the recipient of an ADDY Award, The Bronze Quill Award, Electronic Media Award, The National Telly Award, The Videographer Award and the Communicator Award.

Always the Entertainer. "I think you have to keep changing to make it work,” Sacca says. Never leaving behind the entertainer inside, Sacca has always maintained his singing career. He loves the stage, music and the Las Vegas scene. He closes both his television and stage shows by singing a song he wrote years ago about his adopted hometown: Las Vegas–The Greatest Town Around.

Born and raised in Normandie, France, JOSETTE LEBLOND has been a successful business woman since the age of 17. At that time, she bought her father’s charcuterie business (delicatessen). Within a year she expanded her business to include a bakery.

A turning point in her life came four years later. A week-long vacation to America turned into a French-American dream. She sold her charcuterie and boulangerie business in France and settled in Los Angeles. She began her American journey working for a French chef on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Soon Josette was making her fine pates and foie gras just as she had in France.

A distributor’s representative found out about her products and offered to be her broker. Thus began the first Normandie Pate, Inc. Along the way Josette learned English. In her off-time, Josette was busy making pates in her own restaurant kitchen. Within a short time she had generated enough income to move into a 900 square-foot kitchen in Gardena, California.

By 1988 Josette was able to purchase a 12,000 square-foot manufacturing plant located west of downtown Los Angeles. In her new plant she could bake authentic French breads and manufacture pates, even make sandwiches and pastries. She also opened a small retail for local consumers at the front of her plant.

As owner, chef, plant manager, and salesperson, Josette managed to acquire many key accounts for her company including Disneyland Hotels, The Biltmore, Macy’s, upscale restaurants throughout Los Angeles, chains like Bristol Farms, Whole Foods and Pavilions; airline caterers and many more. She also supplies hotels like the Marriott, Ritz- Carlton, and Hyatt.

Josette has expanded the Normandie parent company. She now owns Normandie Bakery and Coffee on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, as well as one on Sunset Boulevard; a Normandie Bakery and Restaurant in Marina Del Rey, and a Normandie Country Bakery and Pate in Los Angeles.

Hoping to retire, Josette moved to Las Vegas. But as fate would have it, she continued running her bakeries in Los Angeles while opening new ones in Las Vegas. She has opened Normandie Country Bakery on Syrius, Normandie Deli on Valley View, and Josette’s Bistro on Flamingo in Las Vegas.

Proud to be a part of Las Vegas, Josette is very active in the community. She generously donates her time, baked goods and meals to charity organizations like Chef 4 Kids and Taste Of The Nation.

Josette’s energy, perseverance, experience, and love for the business have always kept her going in the right direction. She likes to say she is living the “French-American dream.”
