This event is open to the public. Doors will open 11 a.m. and a sit-down lunch will be served at 12 noon with the award ceremony following at 1 p.m. Showbiz Society president, Tony Sacca will host the event.

The Showbiz Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing and assisting entertainers, is honoring stand-up comedian Louie Anderson with the 2010 Louis Prima Award, presented to him by Louis Prima Jr at the Las Vegas Rocks Café on Saturday, Nov. 20 in the Embassy Theater. Daughter, Lena Prima, who has been an integral part of this honor, and normally presents this award, was not available due to her conflicting schedule. Mayor Oscar Goodman will present Anderson with the Key to the City. and celebrity guests such as George Wallace, Steve Rossi, Robin Leach and many more, will share in the life of Louie Anderson.

This award has been sanctioned by the Prima family in recognition of outstanding entertainers who have added to the entertainment capital of the world, such as Louis Prima did for many years. Former award recipients were Clint Holmes, Bill Medley and Tony Curtis, who was the first awardee.
